Amberwood Village Golf and Country Club announces hiring of Pierre Mondor as new Golf and Sports Operations Manager
TMSI Sports Management and Amberwood Village Golf and Country Club have announced that Pierre Mondor has been hired as the new Golf and Sports Operations Manager at Amberwood.
Pierre takes over for Katharine Usher-Vollett who is moving back to eQuinelle Golf Club in Kemptville as its Operations Manager.
“We would like to thank Katharine for all her efforts during TMSI’s first year with the club and through the early part of 2017. We wish her well and are thrilled to bring on Pierre,” said Yvon Tarte, President of the Amberwood Village Golf and Counry Club. “Pierre’s skillset, personality, and experience are the perfect combination of assets to help us take Amberwood to the next level.”
Pierre has over 18 years of experience in the golf and recreation industries working in a variety of positions at a number of golf and sports facilities in the Greater Ottawa Area, including five years as GM of the Rideau Curling Club and two years as the GM at Larrimac Golf Club in Chelsea, Quebec.
“I’m thrilled to be able to join Amberwood,” said Pierre. “My extensive management experience ranges from golf and curling clubs to also include managing restaurants over the last two decades. I feel my experience will be a valuable addition to TMSI, as I look to bring the same level of success and passion I’ve had in the past to the Amberwood club. I can’t wait to get started.”
TMSI Sports Management, an Ottawa-based management company with more than 27 years experience, has once again been retained by Amberwood to manage the facility in 2017.
“Pierre really stood out to us as someone who is not only bilingual, but also extremely talented in many managerial capacities,” said Rob Knights, Vice President of TMSI. “We’re confident Pierre will be a great fit at Amberwood and we’re looking forward to what he brings to the table and how that will drive the business forward at Amberwood.”
